Faded
Stuck in the middle of two colliding worlds, we live in the midst of an opposition of humanity and nature. Telephone wires tangle in the horizon obscuring the sky, uprooted trees are displaced and replaced with buildings, and trash floats in the ocean clouding the increasingly murky water. Our society has surrounded itself with a dichotomy of creation and destruction. This collision has left the earth to fade and its desperate cries questioned and labeled as “scientifically unproven.”
This digitally manipulated photographic series explores environmental issues through the juxtaposition of nature and the implications humanity imposes upon it. Climate change, deforestation, resource depletion, pollution, and poor waste management are all very real issues that require our attention and change.
