Throughout history, celestial elements have been personified as female in order to tell stories of creation and make sense of cosmic formalities. Overtime this imagery has become one of the most persistent religious and spiritual iconographies. This series draws on this history and turns this symbolic relationship into a female-power campaign. The female essence is in every way as powerful as the moon’s gravitational influence on the tides, as mysterious as the dark side of the moon, and as cyclical as the moon’s many phases.
