Hey there!

My name is Eryn, I am 25 years old, and I am currently based in the beautiful city of San Francisco, California.

I grew up in the Land of Enchantment, otherwise known as New Mexico, and flourished as a “creative rebel” in a small scientific town called Los Alamos.

I am a dog mom to two yellow labs named Lily and Daisy, who keep me on my toes, and I have an unfortunate soft spot for chocolate chip cookies.

When I’m not working, you can find me hiking, spending time outdoors, writing poetry, or dreaming up my next big idea!

My unique approach

I see from multiple vantage points.

I am a multi-faceted creative strategist. My education and experience in design, psychology, and business forge my unique approach to strategizing and creating. With a diverse skill set, a passion for obtaining new knowledge, and an open mindset, I focus on problems from multiple vantage points in order to get the full picture and the up close details. This allows me to think outside of the box, uncover what may seem hidden, and approach projects on a systemic level.

I utilize cyclical processes.

I don’t see problem solving as a linear process. The problem doesn’t start at point A and turn into a solution at point B - it’s just not that simple and treating it as such only creates small band-aids that cover up the problem and fail to address the actual cause. Instead, I frame my process more cyclically, acknowledge that everything works within a system, and I incorporate new information, testing, and feedback to instill resiliency and prepare for pivots at every step of my process.

I prioritize optimism.

I bring a framework of optimism to every project. Pessimism and fear only spark momentary energy and in the long run, lead to denial and guilt; resulting in apathy. In comparison, working with optimism provokes longterm momentum. The creation of experiences that simulate a positive present or visualize an optimistic future have a longer lasting effect in a user’s mind and a higher likelihood to produce engagement, motivation, specific behaviors, or a desired change.

I live in the future.

Traditionally, when a problem is identified today, the problem-solving process starts tomorrow. After ideation, prototyping, and testing, the problem has either evolved, already been solved by someone else, or has been replaced by a new problem; thus, creating a continuous cycle of inefficiency and lack of preparation. By using methodologies associated with strategic foresight and speculative futures thinking, I aim to eliminate this cycle and try to create opportunity for a better tomorrow today.
